Wind turbine at Batsworthy Cross      wind farm

We are pleased to announce the latest in a series of new asset management contracts signed with BlackRock, the recently constructed 18MW Batsworthy Cross Wind Farm in Devon, England.

The Batsworthy Cross Wind Farm is fully operational, comprising of Senvion MM82 2.05MW turbines, backed by a long – term operations and maintenance agreement. This joins the 20 turbine Glens of Foudland wind farm acquired by BlackRock from Centrica earlier this year.

In October 2016 BlackRock also appointed REG as the Asset Manager for four solar projects totalling c.63MWp, adding to five existing ground-mounted solar PV assets under management by REG for BlackRock funds.

This completes a successful year for REG Asset Management, which now has 20 wind and 14 solar projects under management across the UK, taking the total managed capacity to nearly 260MW.

Steve Higman, Head of Operating Projects for REG Power Management said “Our ability to provide the full suite of asset management services, including financial and commercial management, in addition to technical operations and stakeholder management has brought strong growth to our business. Our numbers will expand again next quarter with the addition of a further 33MW of onshore wind having been developed and built in-house by the REG Construction Management team.”
